The 10 hour car ride to Spain

We drove 10 hours (that's driving time only, not including stops) with our 3 kids to Spain. The drive wasn't that bad. None of the kids even screamed for more than a few minutes. They just watched movies in the car all day. Amazingly, we only stopped once for gas and to use the bathroom. We passed by the exit to Carcassonne, France. We were about 30 minutes away and thought that was pretty cool since we love the game Carrcassonne.

Frankfurt Temple

We went to the Frankfurt Temple this weekend and rented a room in the building next door and stayed overnight. We met another family there on Friday night and did a session while they watched our kids and then they did a session in the morning while we watched their kids. The husbands then assisted with the youth baptisms. Our rooms were right across the hall from each other, so the kids were able to run back and forth and play and they had a great time.

Kayla, Brayden and Spencer

The kids lined up their chairs and wanted me to take their picture. Kayla is sitting in her princess chair holding a picture she drew of herself with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Margaret. Brayden is sitting in a blue chair, which is his favorite color, holding a train and book he usually steals from Spencer. Spencer is sitting in the smallest chair and would rather be sitting in either of his siblings chairs, but he's the youngest, so he rarely gets his first or second choice.

These glasses came in our pretend doctor kit. Brayden put them on with his pajamas and kept them on until he went to bed.

Columbus Day

For Columbus Day we went to Eiffel Park in Gondorf, Germany. It was a perfect fall day, and it was especially nice because it was warmer than it typically is. There were a bunch of other American families there which made it even more fun. Our kids had a great time and so did we.

Our Family

This picture of our family was taken by our amateur photographer friend, Valerie Raybon, in Bitburg, Germany June 2008. Kayla is 5, Brayden is 3 and Spencer is 1.
