My Birthday

I'm 33 years young!  We went out to Chuy's with the kids for my birthday and came home to eat the fun cake that Allen made for me.

 

 

Spencer's Tail

Spencer attached this toy to his waist and was walking around with a musical, ball-popping tail.  Of course he wanted it off as soon as this picture was taken.

 

The First Day of School 2011

Kayla's in 3rd Grade, Brayden is in 1st Grade, and Spencer is in Pre-k.  They are all very ready for school and to make new friends.  They had a fun summer together, but since moving to Texas this summer, they haven't made a ton of friends and definitely want to meet more kids.  Kayla's teacher is Mrs. Stimpson, Brayden's is Mrs. Eikenberg, and Spencer's is Mrs. Heard.

 

Sea World

 

 

We had a really fun time at Sea World.  We spent the morning watching shows and the afternoon at the water park.  Sadly, we only took these 3 pictures, but we did have a great day.

 

 

Witte Museum - August 2011

We went to the Witte Museum with the Greens and Schells. It was a really hot day and very crowded in the museum since it was free that day, so the kids really didn't love it, but it's always fun to spend a day with friends.  The kids saw water mill exhibits, old cabins and ranch houses, dinosaur bones, a crazy Texas chair exhibit, pretty dresses, musical instruments made out of pipes and the animals and plants of Texas.

 

Pioneer Day

 For Pioneer day, Allen got to go water skiing.  I  really would have loved to have gone too, but Kayla heard there were pony rides at the church Pioneer Day picnic, and she was too excited for me to let her down and leave her at home with a babysitter.  She wore her cowgirl costume and got to ride in a circle.  I think she was expecting it to be a little more like when she rode my uncle's horses, but it was still fun for all of the kids.  They also liked riding together in the spinning apple.

Grandma's House

The kids just love going to Grandma's house, and they especially love her pool.  There are lots of fun things to float on and play with.  Spencer's favorite toy is a whale the kids named Baby Baluga.  They also love the diving board and slide.
